This policy applies to the website minkatech.co and to every product, app and service operated by Minka.

Depending on the Minka product or service you use, we may collect the following categories of data. Each product only collects what it needs to work.

• Identification and contact data: name, email, phone number and login credentials.
• Location of the home or business where our devices are installed.
• Energy consumption data from our smart meters: readings, timestamps and device identifier.
• Billing and payment data: energy bills you share with us and payment details for our plans and services.
• Messages and information you send us through our website or by email.

We use personal data to:

• Provide, operate and maintain our products and services.
• Show you your energy consumption, history and reports.
• Give you savings recommendations and estimate solar energy options.
• Operate, monitor and support our devices.
• Bill and manage your plans and services.
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
• Send you service notices, such as alerts about your account or your devices.
• Improve our products using aggregated or anonymized information.
• Comply with our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share it with:

• Technology providers that host and process data on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, databases and email), under contracts that require them to protect it.
• Payment processors, when you pay for a Minka plan or service.

We keep your personal data while you have an active account or relationship with us, and afterwards only for as long as the law requires (for example, accounting records). After that, we delete it or anonymize it so it can no longer identify you.

As the owner of your personal data, you have the right to:

• Request proof of the authorization you gave us.
• Be informed about how your data has been used.
• Revoke your authorization and request the deletion of your data.
• Access your personal data free of charge.
• File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Send an email to contact@minkatech.co from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.

We will confirm your request and delete your account, profile, property information and energy readings within 15 business days. We may keep certain records, such as invoices, only for the period required by law; energy data we keep for statistics is anonymized and no longer linked to you.

Our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy when we launch new products or our practices change. We will publish the new version on this page with its date, and if the changes are significant we will notify you through our products or by email.
